Cancellation Policy

If you do not show up for your scheduled appointment, and you have not notified me at least 24 hours in advance, you will be required to pay the amount of the cost of the treatment.

Are there ways to get reimbursed for the cost of therapy?

Yes. If you have “out-of-network benefits” your health insurance may reimburse you for getting treatment from a therapist who is not a participating provider. By submitting a medical claim form (usually found on the insurance company’s website) with a copy of the receipt, you may get back a check from your insurance company reimbursing you for part of the cost of therapy.

Do you accept insurance?

Yes. I participate in insurance panels with BlueCross BlueShield PPO and Traditional Indemnity. If you see me under this insurance, you usually pay between $15-$40 for co-pay per session. For those clients who have other insurances, they may get reimbursed by submitting the bill to their insurance carrier. I can explain this process to you and guide through it if you would like. However, you should also call your insurance company (phone number is usually listed in the back of your card) and check your coverage carefully by asking the following questions:
• Do I have mental health benefits?
• What is my deductible and has it been met?
• How many sessions per calendar year does my plan cover?
• How much do you pay for an out-of-net provider?
• Is there a limitation on how much you will pay per session?
• Is primary care physician approval required?
